Responsibilities:
- A Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization’s databases to ensure their security, reliability, and optimal performance. Their duties include installing and configuring database systems, performing regular backups, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues. DBAs also implement security measures to protect data, manage user access, and ensure the integrity and availability of the database. Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of database management systems, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role, as DBAs play a critical role in supporting data-driven operations and decision-making within the organization.
- Experience in one or more of the following databases.
- Oracle
- PostgreSQL
- Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
- Deploy updates to high availability environments
- Maintain multiple environments; including platform and application management
- Creating software install packages
- Contribute to RMF Assessment and Implementation
- Provide data analysis and metrics to leaders around platform and application usage, trends, etc..
- Provide expertise in automating services and innovative approaches for special projects and current operations.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience utilizing various database technologies. Level of position will be dictated by years of experience.
