Case Highlight
The OSIGOV team was challenged after program start to stand up a complete Controlled Development Environment (CDE) that supports development of a National Security System. In approximately one month, we architected, designed, deployed, and audited a minimum viable CDE for development and obtained government approval to use. The CDE is hosted in AWS GovCloud and adheres to the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide for Impact Level 5 (IL5). The CDE includes collaboration tools (i.e., Rocket.Chat, Confluence), Project Management tools (Jira, MS Project), DevOps tools (Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube and others), program support tools (i.e., MATLAB, Trellix, EggPlant) and a number of AWS Service (i.e., AWS Network Firewall, CodeCommit). We continue to monitor and enhance the CDE according to the Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) derived from our internal audit and other program requirements.
